Front-cage package provides an opportunity for agri-investors to invest in rabbits and poultry in smaller units that would otherwise be un-economical to rear in a specific farm due to scale of production and high unit cost. Agrifronts manages the project through innovation and infusion of technology to reduce the unit production cost while increasing productivity.
I-Dairy
Agrifronts considers dairy as a sub-sector that has huge untapped potential. Thus it forms the flagship package. Innovation and technology has been combined to develop investment options that cater for different clients and situations. This package is designed for dairy animals including cows, goats and camels. The options are:
- i-dairy basic: Targets existing small scale farmers who have dairy cows and faces challenges in taking care of them to achieve the optimum returns due to land shortage, capital, labour and skills required. Agrifronts identifies a farm that has potential to absorb innovation and technology. This farm then hosts the cows from various farmers. The cows remain owned by the owners only that Agrifronts provide professional management that leads to increased productivity and reduced cost of production. Using Agrifronts Best Management Practices (BMPs), the animals raise production by up to 40% while the production cost per unit drops by up to 25%. Overall, the gross margin for the farmer increases by more than 150% from this package. Since the farmers are considered to own limited capital, they are only expected to bring the cow and the infrastructure and working capital provides an opportunity for investors to consider. Hence through Agrifronts Investment, investors can expect a minimum of 20% per annum from this opportunity.
- i-dairy premium: Targets agri-investors who intend to invest in commercial dairy project. The agri-investor owns a cow(s) that is professionally managed by Agrifronts in a prime location. The cows admitted under this package should produce at least 15 litres per day and from registered breeders. This package provides the agri-investor with an opportunity to invest in commercial while remaining hands-off. The initial investment is expected to be recovered in about 12 months.
- i-dairy plus: Targets dairy farmers who only need professional management to the existing projects. Agrifronts brings in the management service that aims at increasing productivity and reducing production costs through innovation and technology.
